Sculpting by AuntB

I have never done this before, so, be kind...lol
I got my Sculpey III the other day and couldn't wait to start my first doll. I have no sculpting tools so I used 2 crochet hooks, a knitting needle, and a straight pin for tools....LOL...proper tools will be my next investment :o)
These pics are from a cell phone so not really sharp.
I need a LOT of practice, but, I am not too upset about my first try. It is a little too big for a 1/12 scale doll, but, only by about 1/2 inch or so.
I will give this another try, AFTER, I watch more videos on sculpting...LOL

Here is my second attempt at sculpting. This doll is to scale. His arms are attached with pipe cleaners so they are movable to an extent. From his waist to knees is pipe cleaners also, then the leg and foot attached.
Since he is just laying back yawning, I call him Lazybones :o)
Again, pics from a cell phone...I hope to have my camera fixed soon :o)

I am now using Sculpy Living Doll clay and I think they are coming out MUCH better :o)
I just finished a baby doll. Sorry for the picture quality :o(
I also am making a new baby. Trying to get the face better. As soon as I get one I really like, I will make a mold...these tiny faces are really hard...lol

I finally got my camera yesterday.....hurray!!!!!
I don't seem to be much better with a camera than with a cellphone..lol
But I think I need to read the manual ;o)
Here is a picture of my "Cartoon Guy"...lol
As you can see I have been busy making heads....no bodies, just heads...lol

I did the eyes with a white 3.5mm pearl. I pushed the pearl in and made lids. After baking it I painted the iris and pupil. I like the way it came out and it was much eaiser than trying to sculp an eye, but, as with everything else, I NEED PRACTICE...lol

My Southern Belle. Not only sculpture, but hand crocheted too :o)

Here is a start on my most recent sculpture. I'm not totally unpleased with him. His face was hand painted by a wonderful doll artist, Sandy Calderon. As you can see by my Southern Belle, I don't paint very well....lol
I also sculpted the moccasins
Here is a close up of the spear he is holding.
